Upper Kindergarten (UKG) ( Age Group 4-5 Years )

Our Upper Kindergarten curriculum is designed to foster exploration, creativity, and independent learning in young children. At this stage, we recognize that a child’s world is full of movement and curiosity, and we carefully prepare the environment with beautiful materials and ample opportunities to connect with nature. This approach not only supports growth but also fosters a sense of peace, even as it caters to the busy and active minds and bodies of young children.

Our program equips educators with a rich and diverse curriculum that encourages and inspires students at every turn. Teaching in a way that aligns with each child’s individual needs makes learning more meaningful and relevant. By following the child’s lead, education becomes a joyful and engaging experience, one that is readily accepted, internalized, and mastered by the students.

In Level 2, we continue our mission to turn children into ‘Little Enquirers’ by exposing them to a variety of real-life experiences. This includes both real and virtual field trips to places like banks, bakeries, laboratories, and fitness centers. These experiences help children connect with the world around them in a practical way. After each trip, children are encouraged to reflect on their experiences by writing a few sentences and drawing pictures. We also engage their creativity by giving them an object and asking them to create a story around it on the spot. This approach allows their imagination to flourish, helping them express themselves with originality and develop a spirit of inquiry about their surroundings, which complements their formal learning in writing, reading, and numeracy.

All subjects taught in our Upper Kindergarten program—including Writing, Reading, Numeracy, Hindi, ICT, Music, Drama, Dance, Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Science Exploration—are taken to the next level, providing a comprehensive and enriched learning experience.

Social Skills: We emphasize the importance of social skills, teaching children to empathize, interact successfully with peers, and relate easily to adults. These skills are crucial for their cognitive, educational, and social development.

Language Skills: We ensure that children develop adequate language skills, enabling them to benefit fully from the experiences that facilitate their overall growth.

Executive Function Skills: Our curriculum supports the development of executive function skills, including the ability to hold and manipulate information, plan and regulate behavior, solve problems, and be creative.

Emotional Self-Regulation Skills: We help children develop the ability to adapt their behavior depending on the situation, control impulses, and shift attention when needed.

Self-Regulation in Learning Skills: We teach children the importance of postponing immediate gratification to achieve long-term goals, sustaining attention, being persistent, and maintaining concentration.

In our Upper Kindergarten program, every aspect of a child’s development is nurtured and enhanced, preparing them not only for the next stage of their education but also for life beyond the classroom.
